Deadly Crash on I-680 Freeway in San Ramon
SAN RAMON, Calif. (Nov. 27, 2024) — A fatal pedestrian accident happened Wednesday morning on the southbound Interstate 680 Freeway just south of Crow Canyon Road in San Ramon.
The deadly crash occurred around 4:38 a.m. on Nov. 27th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A 911 caller told CHP dispatchers their “brother ran onto the freeway and got hit by a vehicle,” the report said.
Paramedics responded, but unfortunately, the male pedestrian died at the scene.
The southbound traffic lanes were closed down briefly due to the crash, but the road reopened at 6:36 a.m., the report said.
