Woman Pinned Between 2 Trucks, Badly Injured in 5 Freeway Crash

November 5, 2018 – An unidentified woman was seriously injured following a multi-vehicle collision on the Interstate 5 Freeway Monday evening.
According to NBC News, the victim was driving a convertible Mercedes southbound on the freeway. For reasons still under investigation, the Mercedes struck from behind by a pickup truck, and was then pushed into the rear of another pickup truck.

Officials described the Mercedes was sandwiched as a result of the impact. Furthermore, two other vehicles reportedly got involved in the chain-reaction collision.
Responding paramedics rushed the Mercedes driver to a hospital with life-threatening injuries. The name of the patient have not been disclosed thus far.
Authorities added the driver of the truck that started the chain-reaction crash was also taken to the hospital.
No other information was immediately available. Investigators handling the case continue to work to determine the exact cause of the mishap.
