Vehicle Strikes, Kills Man Near Via De San Ysidro
San Ysidro, CA (July 12, 2022) – A deadly pedestrian accident occurred Tuesday evening on Interstate 5, the San Diego Union-Tribune News reported.
Our sources indicated a vehicle struck a male party on the freeway. The collision took place in the area between Via De San Ysidro and Dairy Mart Road.
According to the article published online, the pedestrian attempted to cross I-5 from the right side of the freeway. While walking in the traffic lanes, one vehicle struck the male party. The collision resulted in fatal injuries to the pedestrian.

Emergency crews arrived at the site shortly after 8:25 p.m.; and sadly pronounced the victim dead. The identity of the deceased remained undisclosed pending confirmation and notification of next of kin.
The driver involved in the unfortunate event stayed at the scene and cooperated with the investigation process. At this time, detectives continue to investigate liability in the deadly accident that happened on Interstate 5 in San Ysidro.
