SAN DIEGO, California (March 23, 2017) – A fatal accident involving a trolley took place Thursday morning in San Ysidro, according to UT San Diego.
The accident occurred about 6:20 a.m. on the tracks at Beyer Boulevard and Dairy Mart Road.
As per the article, San Diego police said a man was killed after being struck by a trolley. His name has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, the San Diego Metropolitan Transit System informed passengers that there would be a 15 to 20 minute delay on the UC San Diego Blue Line due to police activity.
Officers have not determined what caused the incident and how it happened. The investigation is ongoing.
