Rider Badly Hurt in Collision at Beyer Boulevard and Otay Mesa Road
San Ysidro, CA (November 18, 2022) – A motorcyclist suffered injuries following a traffic accident that occurred in the area of East Beyer Boulevard and Otay Mesa Road.
The San Diego Union-Tribune News reported man riding a motorcycle collided with a Border Patrol agent at the intersection in San Ysidro Wednesday afternoon. According to the article published online, the motorcyclist had a green light when he entered the crossing of East Beyer and Otay Mesa. The Border Patrol agent also had a green light and made a left in front of the rider. Subsequently, the rider hit the right rear door of the patrol vehicle.
Major Injury Motorcycle Accident in San Ysidro
Due to the force from the impact, the motorcyclist suffered major injuries–including a broken pelvis; and a dislocated femur. Responding paramedics immediately rendered aid to the victim, then transported him to a hospital for surgery. Pending confirmation, the name of the patient remained undisclosed.
Several factors surrounding the incident remained unclear. At this time, detectives continue to investigate the precise cause of the crash that happened at Beyer Boulevard and Otay Mesa Road in San Ysidro.
