Woman Hit by Suspect Fleeing Police in Sanger
FRESNO COUNTY, Calif. (March 30, 2022) — A Sanger pedestrian accident occurred Tuesday night when a driver fleeing police struck a bystander at the intersection of Greenwood and Almond avenues.
The collision happened just after 6 p.m. on March 29th, according to ABC 30 News.
A driver led police on a pursuit that ended when the red vehicle struck a woman and crashed into a home on Almond Avenue. The driver and passenger in the vehicle fled the scene on foot, but they were later located by police and taken into custody.
Meanwhile, paramedics responded and rushed the injured woman to a hospital with undisclosed injuries.
Authorities arrested the two suspects on multiple felony charges and they were booked at Fresno County Jail.
It’s unknown at this time what set off the police chase in the first place.
