Man, 70, Struck by Truck at Pacific Ave, 13th Street

SAN PEDRO, Calif. (Dec. 6, 2022) — A 70-year-old man died early Monday morning when the pedestrian was hit by a sanitation truck in a crash at South Pacific Avenue and 13th Street in San Pedro.
The driver struck the elderly man around 5:10 a.m. at the San Pedro intersection due to unknown circumstances, according to a spokesman from the Los Angeles Police Department.
Authorities do not suspect any wrongdoing from the driver and called the situation an “unfortunate accident,” the report said.
Meanwhile, the San Pedro sanitation truck crash remains under investigation by the Valley Traffic Division. Finally, the identity of the man who died will be released after relatives are notified.
