Driver Hauling Trailer Crashes into Center Divider on I-5 Freeway
IRVINE, California (April 1, 2014) – Several drivers including a big rig truck and an SUV or pickup truck hauling a trailer, collided Tuesday morning in a crash on the northbound Interstate 5 Freeway at Culver Drive, according to a dispatch by the California Highway Patrol.
About 1 p.m., CHP officers responded to the crash involving the driver of a Toyota SUV hauling a trailer that lost control and struck the center divider and several other vehicles, the report said. The vehicles involved in the crash were blocking the Nos. 1, 2, 3 and HOV lanes.
Paramedics responded to the crash for unknown injuries sustained by those involved.
Police issued a SigAlert for the HOV and No. 1 lanes about 1:06 p.m. that was expected to last about 30 minutes.
