As per the report, two people were crossing an intersection diagonally in the 3500 block of the boulevard at the driveway of a Home Depot. Suddenly, a westbound vehicle struck one from the two pedestrians.
Before the victim, described as a male teen, was able to recover from the first impact, a second car hit the pedestrian.
Emergency crews immediately arrived at the scene and rushed the injured pedestrian to a local hospital. The victim remained in critical condition due to sustained life-threatening injuries.
The authorities affirmed the first car stopped and remained at the scene. While the second vehicle drove away following the collision.
Officers provided initial information that the hit-and-run vehicle was a dark colored SUV.
Further investigation and a search operation are now underway.
