Several Hospitalized After Police-Chase Ends in Car Crash at Tustin and Santa Clara Saturday
Santa Ana, CA (April 25, 2021) – Multiple people suffered injuries following a car accident in the area of Tustin and Santa Clara Avenue in Santa Ana, according to My News LA.
Officials said on-duty deputies from the Orange Police Department attempted to pull over a motorist in the 2300 block of North Tustin Avenue. Our sources indicated the driver of the white pickup truck failed to yield and led the police to a chase.
Major Injury Car Accident in Santa Ana, April 25
Per news article published online, the white pickup truck pursued by police ran a red light at the intersection of Tustin and Santa Clara. Authorities said the white pickup ended up colliding with a the van. Officials mentioned there were occupants in the van. When medical personnel arrived at the location, they rendered aid to all possible victim.
Authorities later confirmed the injured parties were taken to hospitals for treatment of major injuries. Pending confirmation, the names of the patients remained undisclosed.
Meanwhile, authorities mentioned the driver of the pickup truck fled the scene. Investigators later located the hit-and-run suspect, then arrested him on suspicion of evading and felony drunk driving.
