SANTA ANA, California (February 21, 2017) – According to California Highway Patrol dispatch, a fiery crash involving three vehicles took place on the 55 Freeway Tuesday.
The accident occurred shortly after 5:30 p.m., on the southbound 55 Freeway, just south of Edinger Avenue off-ramp. CHP described the cars as a white Toyota Camry, a dark colored Toyota Prius and a silver Honda CR-V.
As per the report log, the Prius caught fire following the crash. Fire department personnel along with the paramedics responded to the scene to attend to the parties who may have sustained injuries upon impact.
Authorities are still investigating the cause of the incident.
