5 Injured in Santa Ana Crash at Lyon Street and Edinger Avenue
SANTA ANA, CA (September 19, 2021) – Several were hospitalized after a car crash at Lyon Street and Edinger Avenue in Santa Ana.
According to an article published by My News LA, the tragic accident took place on Sunday night. Officers reported the wreck at about 8:30 p.m.
The Orange County Fire Authority said two vehicles collided for an unknown reason in Santa Ana. They crashed at the intersection of Lyon Street and Edinger Avenue.
2 Children Victims in Collision
Officials described the cars as a pickup and an SUV, which obtained severe damage upon impact. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene and found a total of five people hurt.
Three adults and two young children sustained unspecified injuries as a result of the collision. Medical personnel took them to trauma centers for treatment.
The report did release the names of the wounded patients and their condition at this time. Meanwhile, officers forced the area of Lyon Street and Edinger Avenue to shut down following the wreck.
The cause of the Santa Ana crash is still under investigation.
