SANTA ANA, California (Saturday, August 22, 2015) – A hit-and-run occurred at the southbound State Route Highway 55 and the Dyer Road off-ramp this evening resulted in a fatality. Two separate collisions were recorded. The first collision occurred between a dark-colored sedan and the guardrail. The second collision occurred when the dark-colored sedan spun-out into another passing vehicle, a silver Jeep Cherokee.The dark sedan then fled. At least one person died.
The accident occurred at about 8:24 p.m., according to a California Highway Patrol report. No further details are available. The situation is still under investigation.
