Car Accident at Washington Avenue and Lowell Street Sends 2 Officers to Hospital Friday
Santa Ana, CA (November 21, 2020) – Two Santa Ana police officers suffered injuries following an alleged DUI collision in the area of Washington Avenue and Lowell Street Friday.
The On Scene TV News reported the crash at about 10:50 p.m.
Preliminary investigation revealed a Santa Ana patrol vehicle collided head-on into a civilian vehicle at the intersection of Washington and Lowell.
The wreck resulted in moderate injuries to two officers. Per local news source, responding medical teams rushed the injured officials to a hospital for treatment.

Meanwhile, firefighters reportedly had to extricate the driver of the civilian vehicle. Following an evaluation, authorities reportedly arrested the civilian motorist for driving under the influence. The name of the intoxicated driver have not been revealed thus far.
