Boy, 7, Killed in Santa Ana Pedestrian Crash Near Rosita Street and 7th Street
SANTA ANA, CA (September 5, 2022) – A pedestrian crash killed a child near Rosita Street and 7th Street in Santa Ana.
According to The Orange County Register and My News LA, the tragic accident took place on Sunday night. Officers reported the collision at about 8:50 p.m.
The incident happened on September 4 when 7-year-old boy was crossing Rosita Street, north of the intersection with 7th Street. At the same time, a vehicle was going south on Rosita
Santa Ana police said the driver approached and then struck the child pedestrian. The impact knocked him onto the ground.

Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene and found the boy down in the roadway. He sustained serious injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel rushed the patient to a hospital, where he soon died. Meanwhile, police added that the motorist stopped and stayed at the site after hitting the victim.
Officers forced the area of Rosita and 7th streets to shut down for a time following the incident. The cause of the fatal Santa Ana pedestrian crash is still under investigation.
