
Man Struck, Killed in Santa Ana Crash
SANTA ANA, Calif. (Feb. 21, 2023) – A fatal hit-and-run Santa Ana pedestrian accident happened early Monday morning at First Street and Figueroa Street.
A driver struck a man about 3:20 a.m. on Feb. 20th and then fled the scene without stopping to help the victim, according to the Santa Ana Police Department.
Police later arrested the man and noted that alcohol is likely a factor in the collision, CBS News reports.

Apparently, the man was struck in the eastbound lanes of First Street. The motorist did not stop and fled the scene.
Meanwhile, paramedics with the Orange County Fire Authority responded and confirmed the victim’s death at the scene. His name will be released after relatives are notified.
Furthermore, investigators managed to locate the suspect’s vehicle parked at a home in the area.
The arrested the suspect and noted they believe the driver was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the fatal pedestrian hit-and-run crash.
