Pedestrian Killed in Santa Ana Accident at Sullivan and Willits Streets
SANTA ANA, CA (February 23, 2021) – An elderly pedestrian was killed after an accident at Sullivan and Willits streets in Santa Ana.
According to The Orange County Register and My News LA, the tragic collision occurred on Tuesday. Officers reported the crash at about 11:54 a.m.
The incident happened when a vehicle was going south on Sullivan Street. At the same time, a female pedestrian was crossing at the intersection of Sullivan and Willits streets.
The car then turned left onto eastbound Willits Street. Santa Ana police said in the process, the driver struck the woman in her 80s in a crosswalk.

Firefighters along with the paramedics responded to the scene. They found the elderly victim injured and left lying on the ground as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel rushed her to a hospital, where she died. The name of the pedestrian remains unreleased pending notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, witnesses claimed that the 89-year-old male motorist did not stop after hitting the woman. He continued driving home about two blocks away.
