SANTA ANA, California (August 3, 2016) — A motorcyclist was allegedly speeding when the bike crashed into several other motorists on the southbound State Route 55 Costa Mesa Freeway at the MacArthur Boulevard off ramp, a California Highway Patrol report said.
The rider crashed into a Hyundai SUV and two sedans in the HOV lanes. Police say the rider went from the southbound side to the northbound lanes, but was able to climb back over the center divider.
Police issued a SigAlert due to heavy traffic and the HOV lane being blocked. T least two tow trucks were required for the motorcycle and another vehicle.
The crash remains under investigation by police.
