Pedestrian Badly Injured in Santa Ana Hit-and-Run at Raitt Street and 7th Street
SANTA ANA, CA (September 1, 2021) – A pedestrian was badly injured after a hit-and-run crash at Raitt Street and 7th Street in Santa Ana.
According to an article published by the NBC Los Angeles, the accident took place last week on Thursday. The collision occurred on August 26 at around 11 a.m.
The incident happened when a vehicle going north on Raitt Street turned right on 7th Street in Santa Ana. Police said in the process, the driver struck the pedestrian in the roadway.
Victim Hit by Car
Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived and found the victim left suffering from moderate injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel took the patient to a hospital for treatment. Officials did not disclose the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, police affirmed that the motorist did not stop to help the victim and soon fled the area. They described the car as possibly a 2006 to 2010 model black Toyota Corolla with oxidized paint on the roof.
Police determined that the suspect hit another pedestrian prior to this accident and also left the scene. The Santa Ana hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
