Santa Ana Police SUV in Crash at First Street and Grand Avenue

Two Injured | SUVs Collide at Santa Ana Intersection
SANTA ANA, Calif. (May 1, 2025) — Two people were injured including a Santa Ana police officer, in a crash involving two SUVs Tuesday night at First Street and Grand Avenue in Santa Ana.
The minor-injury crash occurred around 11:45 p.m. on April 29th, according to the Orange County Register.
It’s unknown what led up to the collision between a black-and-white police SUV and a civilian SUV. However, the police officer’s patrol vehicle suffered front-end damage and the other SUV was damaged on its front-passenger side.
Orange County Fire Authority was at the scene and an ambulance transported the driver of the civilian SUV to a hospital, but the police officer declined medical transport.
Investigators are working on the case to determine the cause of the crash and liability. It’s unknown whether the officer had lights and a siren on at the time of the traffic accident.
