SANTA ANA, California (January 2, 2017) — A bartender performing a trick by setting liquor on fire at Lola Gaspar bar accidentally caused a woman’s hair and face to catch fire causing serious burns just after midnight on New Year’s Day, the Orange County Register reported.
The incident took place about 12:25 a.m. at 211 West 2nds Street in Santa Ana.
The woman was watching a bartender perform the trick, shortly after the countdown to New Year’s Day when her hair and face somehow were lit on fire and burned.
The Santa Ana police and firefighters responded to help the injured woman and took her to a local hospital for treatment of undisclosed injuries.
There were no others injured in the incident, police said.
