Bicyclist Injures Head in Collision With Vehicle
SANTA BARBARA (January 11, 2019)- According to the California Highway Patrol, a bicyclist suffered injuries following a collision with a vehicle this afternoon at or near the crossroads of Painted Cave Road and Highway 154 also known as San Marcos Pass Road.
At roughly 1:46 p.m., authorities responded to the scene of the collision site.
Upon arrival, officials described a male bicyclist laying on the side of the road with an apparent head injury who had been struck by the driver of a light-colored pickup truck whose driver remained present.
The victim was attended to and treated by paramedics before being taken away via ambulance to a nearby hospital.
Details in regards to the cause of the collision itself are unclear at this time while CHP remains present at the scene as of 1:47 p.m.
