Bicycle Rider Injured in Crash on State Street
SANTA BARBARA, Calif. (August 28, 2024) — A pickup and bicycle were involved in an accident Wednesday morning at State Street and North Ontare Road in Santa Barbara.
The collision occurred in the 3500 block of State Street, according to Noozhawk.
A driver in a blue GMC pickup truck struck the bicyclist around 8 a.m. on August 28th, the report said. The man’s leg was reportedly trapped under the front wheel of the truck until firefighters arrived and were able to free him.
Paramedics responded and rushed the injured rider toto Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital for treatment of moderate injuries.
Finally, the driver of the truck cooperated with police and the investigation into what happened.
