3 Possibly Injured in Head-on Car Crash on Highway 154
LOCATION: Santa Barbara
DATE OF COLLISION: Wednesday, January 9th
January 9, 2019 – Several people were injured after two vehicles collided on Highway 154 near San Marcos Pass Wednesday afternoon, according to a local news source.
Primary reports indicated a Mini Cooper was traveling away from Santa Barbara when, for reasons still under investigation, it crashed head-on into the pickup truck.
The impact caused the pickup to flip over. Officials said the driver and a passenger of that vehicle were fortunately able to get out during the crash. The names of the occupants in the pickup, and their condition at this time have not been disclosed thus far.

In addition, the driver of the Mini Cooper was reportedly hurt as a result of the incident. The driver, who was the only person inside the Cooper at the time of the crash, was taken by ambulance to a local hospital for treatment of minor to moderate leg injuries.
Liability in the accident are still being determined. Officials said further investigation on the case is ongoing.
