3 Seriously Injured in Accident on Highway 154 Near Lake Cachuma
SANTA BARBARA COUNTY (August 30, 2018) – Three were hospitalized after a traffic collision Thursday afternoon along Highway 154 near Lake Cachuma, according to Noozhawk and KEYT News.
The accident was reported at around 1:38 p.m. The highway is also known as San Marcos Pass Road.
As per the reports, Santa Barbara County Fire Department said a car was stopped in the northbound lane of Highway 154 when it was struck by another vehicle which was traveling at a high rate of speed at the time.
The car that was initially stopped ultimately went off the roadway upon impact and flipped onto its roof.

Firegfighters along with the paramedics responded to the scene and extricated the two occupants who were found trapped inside the overturned vehicle.
A total of three people were transported by ground ambulance to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital for treatment. One patient suffered major injuries while the other two sustained moderate injuries.
A fourth party declined medical aid and was then released. The names of the victims and their condition were not disclosed.
Meanwhile, authorities are still investigating the incident.
