
4 Injured in Crash on Highway 154 Near Lake Cachuma Entrance
SANTA BARBARA COUNTY, CA (April 22, 2023) – Several were injured after a crash on Highway 154 near the Lake Cachuma entrance in Santa Barbara County.
According to the Noozhawk and KSBY News, the accident took place on Saturday evening. Officers reported the wreck on April 22 at around 6:15 p.m.
The incident happened when two motorcycles and a sedan collided for an unknown in Santa Barbara County. The three crashed on Highway 154 outside of the entrance to Lake Cachuma Recreation Area.
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene and found two motorcyclists lying in the roadway. A total of four people ended up hurt as a result of the collision.
Multiple Vehicles Collide
The riders, a male and female, sustained critical injuries upon impact. An air ambulance flew one of them to the Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital.
The other two victims, occupants of the car, survived with minor injuries. Medical personnel rushed the three patients to the same hospital for treatment.
The report did not disclose the names of all the wounded parties and their condition at this time. Meanwhile, officers forced both lanes of Highway 154 to shut down following the wreck.
The cause of the crash near the Lake Cachuma entrance is still under investigation.
