
Woman Injured in Collision on Highway 166
Santa Maria, CA (December 5, 2022) – One driver suffered injuries following a traffic accident that occurred on Highway 166, also known as West Main Street, Monday afternoon.
According to Santa Maria Times News, a female party was driving a U.S. Postal Service delivery vehicle traveling at an unknown direction on Highway 166. When the delivery vehicle approached the 3500 block of West Main Street, it collided with a semi truck-and-trailer.
Earlier reports indicated the crash took place at about 3:50 p.m.
Postal Service Truck Driver Hospitalized After Accident in Santa Maria
When rescue teams arrived at the location, they found the driver of the U.S. Postal Service delivery vehicle suffering in injuries. Responding paramedics rendered first aid to the victim; then transported her to Marian Regional Medical Center in Santa Maria for further treatment and evaluation. Personal information on the patient remained undisclosed pending confirmation.
Meanwhile, the driver of the big rig appeared unharmed after the incident.
Detectives handling the case stayed at the scene the whole morning. They continue to investigate the precise cause of the crash that happened on Highway 166, also known as West Main Street, in Santa Maria.
