Man, 21, Hit and Killed by Vehicle on SR-101 Friday
SANTA BARBARA, Ca (December 13, 2019) – A deadly pedestrian accident occurred early Friday on Highway 101, the Noozhawk News reported.
The collision took place at about 1:15 a.m. in the southbound freeway lanes near the Garden Street exit.

Per local news source, a big rig tractor, which was not hauling a trailer at the time, struck a man in the right-hand lane of the interstate. Responding medics sadly pronounced the man dead at the scene. CHP briefly identified the fatal victim as a 21-year-old man from Oak Park.
Meanwhile, authorities released the name of the truck operator–56-year-old Charles C. Hudson, of Loma Linda. Officials said Hudson appeared unharmed after the accident.
Investigators handling the case continue to work at this time to determine exactly what happened here and why.
