Motorcyclist Injured After Car Crash on Highway 101 Near Garden Street
SANTA BARBARA (May 24, 2018) – A motorcycle rider was injured in a traffic collision on southbound Highway 101 Thursday afternoon, according to Santa Barbara News-Press.
The accident happened at approximately 5 p.m. just north of Garden Street.

As per the article, the California Highway Patrol reported that the motorcycle crashed into the rear of a truck for reasons still under investigation.
The impact resulted in major injuries to the rider, who was reportedly taken to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital for treatment. The name of the patient and their condition at this time have not been disclosed thus far.
No immediate information was released on the identity of the truck operator involved.
The CHP and other officials continue to investigate exactly what led to the crash.
