Santa Barbara Motorcyclist Injured
Santa Barbara, Calif. (July 25, 2023) — A motorcycle accident occurred Tuesday afternoon on US Highway 101 near La Cumbre Road Off ramp in Santa Barbara.
The collision occurred about 2:03 p.m. on July 25th, going southbound near the US 101 in Santa Barbara County according to a California Highway Patrol dispatch.
A motorcycle and a white sedan collided on Highway 101. Following the impact of the crash, the motorbike was flung to the second lane and the driver was thrown to the first lane of the freeway. Meanwhile, the white sedan was found to have pulled over on the right hand side of the highway. Paramedics responded to help those injured on the scene. It was reported that someone involved in the collision was injured on their right leg. The Santa Barbara Police Department and fire department were also called to help those affected by the accident.
Tow trucks arrived on scene to remove the damaged bike from the freeway.
Investigators are working on the case further to determine who is at fault for the Santa Barbara accident on Highway 101.
