Pedestrian Critical After Collision at State Street and Broadmoor Plaza Monday
Santa Barbara, CA (March 14, 2022) – A pedestrian suffered serious injuries following a traffic accident that occurred in the area of State Street and Broadmoor Plaza.
According to the Noozhawk News, an unidentified male party attempted to cross State Street Monday evening. Earlier reports indicated a vehicle heading east on State Street struck the pedestrian walking towards the mountains in the area.
Officials said the accident took place at approximately 8:30 p.m.
Due to the force from the impact, the man was propelled into the middle of the intersection. Responding emergency crews found the victim bleeding, and lying on the ground. An ambulance rushed the patient to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital for further treatment and evaluation. Police continue to withhold the name of the patient pending confirmation.
Detectives stayed at the scene the whole evening. They continue to investigate liability in the pedestrian accident at State Street and Broadmoor Plaza.
