Teen Hit and Injured by Vehicle Near Garden Street
Santa Barbara, CA (April 16, 2022) – A teenage girl suffered injuries following a pedestrian accident that occurred on Cabrillo Boulevard, the Noozhawk News reported.
Pedestrian Accident on Cabrillo Boulevard in Santa Barbara
Officials said a vehicle struck a teenage girl Saturday night near the Santa Barbara waterfront. Our sources indicated the collision took place on Cabrillo Boulevard near Garden Street.
Shortly after 8:20 p.m., rescue teams arrived at the crash site. First responders found the pedestrian with severe injuries to her legs and hips. Due to the condition of the victim, an AMR ambulance rushed her to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital for treatment. Authorities only identified the patient as a 15-year-old girl.
No immediate information was available on the driver involved in the collision.
The Santa Barbara Police Department is the agency handling the investigation. Detectives continue to work at this time to determine liability in the pedestrian accident that occurred on Cabrillo Boulevard in Santa Barbara.
