Pedestrian Injured in Santa Barbara Hit-and-Run on Mission Canyon Road
SANTA BARBARA, CA (September 13, 2021) – A hit-and-run crash injured a pedestrian on Mission Canyon Road in Santa Barbara.
The California Highway Patrol first logged the incident on Monday afternoon. According to their dispatch, officers reported the accident at about 12:41 p.m.
CHP said a vehicle struck the pedestrian for an unknown reason. The driver hit the person at 610 Mission Canyon Road in Santa Barbara.
Victim Hit by Vehicle
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near the Rocky Nook Park. They found the victim left wounded as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then treated the patient for the unspecified injuries they sustained in the crash. The name of the wounded party and their condition at this time were not disclosed.
Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that the motorist did not stop to help the victim and fled the area. Officers forced a stretch of Mission Canyon Road to close following the collision.
The cause of the Santa Barbara hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
