2 Women Hurt in Rollover Collision on Highway 101
SANTA BARBARA, Calif. (Nov. 1, 2022) — A Santa Barbara rollover crash left two women with major injuries Tuesday morning on Highway 101 at the El Sueno Road off ramp.
The crash occurred about 10:15 a.m. on Nov. 1st, according to the Santa Barbara County Fire Department. The vehicle landed upside down at the coroner of El Sueno Road and Calle Real.
Noozhawk reports the women were allegedly traveling at high speed in a Honda SUV northbound on the freeway when the driver lost control and the vehicle overturned, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The unidentified women became trapped in the overturned SUV after it landed on Calle Real. Responding firefighters extricated the woman from the wreckage.
Paramedics transported both of them by AMR ambulances to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital. The report did not mention the age or identity of the two women who both suffered major injuries in the crash.
Meanwhile, authorities closed down the off ramp due to the crash and investigation.
