4 Injured in 2-Car Crash at Monroe Street, Bowers Avenue
SANTA CLARA, Calif. (Jan. 9, 2018) — Brian Ibarra Casillas, 17, of Santa Clara was killed and four were injured in a two-vehicle collision Sunday night at Monroe Street and Bowers Avenue, according to The Mercury News.
The collision took place about 10:22 p.m. after the teenager lost control of his Acura Integra as he attempted to turn and collided with a Toyota Highlander. The SUV had been stopped at a light facing the southbound direction and was pushed into the front yard of a residence where it overturned onto its passenger side.
The teen was transported to a hospital where he later died of his injuries. The four people in the Highlander suffered moderate injuries and were also taken to a hospital.
