Bicyclist, 49, Killed in Crash at Bunker Hill and Great America
SANTA CLARA (October 26, 2018) – A bicyclist was killed after a traffic collision in the area of Bunker Hill Lane and Great America Parkway on Thursday, according to The Mercury News.
The accident involving a bus took place at about 5:21 p.m.
As per the article, police said the 49-year-old Morgan Hill man was riding a bicycle south on Great America Parkway when he was struck by a private commuter bus.
The bus was making a right turn onto Great America from Bunker Hill Lane when it hit the cyclist who was traveling in the designated bike lane and had a green light.

Police affirmed that the rider was pronounced deceased at the scene. His name has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, the bus reportedly failed to yield the right of way to the bicyclist. It was owned by El Paseo Limousine, and was operating as a free commuter line for the ACE train. The bus had passengers when the crash occurred.
