Pedestrian, 30, Killed in Santa Clara Crash Near Agnew Road and Garrity Way
SANTA CLARA, CA (October 19, 2021) – A pedestrian was killed after a crash near Agnew Road and Garrity Way in Santa Clarita.
According to the East Bay Times and KRON 4 News, the tragic accident took place on Monday evening. Officers reported the collision on October 18 about 6:50 p.m.
The incident happened when the pedestrian was crossing Agnew Road between Lafayette Street and Garrity Way in Santa Clara. At the same time, a vehicle was going south.
Police said the driver then struck the 30-year-old victim who was walking in a marked crosswalk at the time. The motorist failed to see the person in the roadway and hit them.

Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived at the scene and found the victim lying on the ground. The patient sustained serious injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel soon rushed the wounded party to a hospital, where they died. The name of the deceased individual has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, police affirmed that the 67-year-old motorist stopped and stayed at the site after the incident. The cause of the fatal Santa Clara pedestrian crash is still under investigation.
