2 Injured in Santa Clarita Crash on Southbound 5 Freeway
SANTA CLARITA, CA (May 30, 2021) – Two were injured after a bus crash on the Interstate 5 Freeway in Santa Clarita.
According to an article published by the Hometown Station, the accident took place on Sunday morning. Officers reported the wreck at around 7:40 a.m.
The Los Angeles County Fire Department said a transit bus and another vehicle collided for an unknown reason. They crashed on the southbound 5 Freeway near Gavin Canyon.

Firefighters along with the paramedics soon responded to the scene, between Calgrove Boulevard and the Newhall Pass interchange. They found two people who ended up hurt as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then provided treatment to both patients for the minor injuries they sustained in the wreck. Officials did not release their names and condition at this time.
Meanwhile, officers forced the Nos 4 and 5 lanes of the southbound 5 Freeway to shut down for at least one hour following the crash. Authorities are still investigating the cause of the Santa Clarita collision.
