Party Bus Driver Injured in Santa Clarita Crash on 14 Freeway
SANTA CLARITA, CA (August 13, 2022) – A pedestrian crash injured a party bus driver on the 14 Freeway east of Santa Clarita.
According to an article published by the Hometown Station, the accident took place on Friday night. Officers reported the collision at around 9:40 p.m.
The incident happened on August 12 when a party bus pulled over on the side of the northbound 14 Freeway after becoming overheated in Santa Clarita.
The California Highway Patrol said the driver of the bus got out of the vehicle near the Agua Dulce Canyon Road off-ramp. A black Nissan Sentra approached and then struck him.
Car Hits Pedestrian
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene. They found the pedestrian who ended up hurt as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then rushed the patient to the hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries. The reports did not disclose the name of the wounded party and his condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP added that the driver of the Nissan pulled over on the roadside after hitting the victim. The cause of the Santa Clarita crash is still under investigation.
Officers forced the northbound lanes of the 14 Freeway to shut down near Agua Dulce following the bus collision.
