1 Hospitalized After Collision on 5 Freeway Near Lake Hughes Road Thursday
Santa Clarita, CA (July 1, 2021) – At least one person suffered injuries following a car accident that occurred on Interstate 5 Freeway Thursday, the KHTS News reported.
Officials said a semi truck collided with another vehicle in the northbound side of 5 Freeway; near Lake Hughes Road in Castaic. The force from the impact caused the smaller vehicle to roll down the embankment. According to the article published online, it remained unclear how far down the car went.

Primary reports indicated one person was ejected during the crash. Shortly after 3:30 a.m., emergency crews arrived at the site and immediately rendered aid to the victim. Our sources indicated paramedics transported the patient to a hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries.
