Santa Clarita Crash on Antelope Valley 14 Freeway, Placerita Canyon Road
NEWHALL, Calif., (October 23, 2026) — A two-vehicle crash occurred Friday afternoon on the Antelope Valley 14 Freeway South, just north of Placerita Canyon Road in Santa Clarita.
The incident involved a gray Chevrolet Cruze and a white Honda Accord, resulting in significant damage to both vehicles and blocking multiple lanes, particularly the carpool lane.
Emergency responders arrived on the scene following reports of the collision at approximately 12:17 p.m. on Oct. 23rd, 2026. The gray Chevrolet Cruze sustained major right-side damage, impacting its axle, while the white Honda Accord suffered severe rear-end damage. Both vehicles were reported to be obstructing the number 1 and 2 lanes, as well as the HOV lane, complicating traffic flow in the area.
Tow trucks were dispatched to the scene, although initial attempts to secure towing services faced delays. Velocity Tow was ultimately able to provide assistance with their equipment capable of handling two vehicles.
It’s unknown how many were injured in the collision, however, paramedics were dispatched to the scene. The responding units were on the scene by 12:22 p.m., working diligently to clear the roadway and assist those affected.
Authorities are actively investigating the circumstances leading up to the collision and are appealing to any witnesses to come forward with information that may assist in the ongoing investigation.
