2 Injured in Santa Clarita Crash at Placerita Canyon Road and Sierra Highway

SANTA CLARITA, CA (May 6, 2023) – Two were hospitalized after a crash at Placerita Canyon Road and Sierra Highway in Santa Clarita.

According to an article published by The Signal, the accident took place on Friday evening. Officers reported the wreck on May 5 at around 5 p.m.

The incident happened when a car driven by a Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station deputy and another vehicle collided for an unknown reason.

2 Cars Collide

Officials said the two crashed at the intersection of Placerita Canyon Road and Sierra Highway. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene.

Both the deputy and the other motorist ended up hurt as a result of the collision. Medical personnel then rushed the patients to the Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries.

The report did not disclose the names of the wounded parties and their condition at this time. Meanwhile, officers forced the area of Placerita Canyon and Sierra to shut down following the wreck.

The cause of the Santa Clarita crash is still under investigation.
