2 Injured in Santa Clarita Crash on Railroad Avenue Near Drayton Street

SANTA CLARITA, CA (June 28, 2021) – Two were hospitalized after a DUI crash on Railroad Avenue in Santa Clarita.

According to The Signal and Hometown Station, the accident took place on Sunday evening. Officers reported the wreck on June 27 at about 9:45 p.m.

The Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station said two vehicles collided near the areas of Saugus and Newhall. They crashed on Railroad Avenue, just south of Drayton Street.

Drunk Teen Driver Hits Another Car

Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene and found two people riding the victim car hurt as a result of the collision.

Medical personnel took them to a local hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries. Officials did not disclose their names and condition at this time.

Meanwhile, deputies affirmed that the 16-year-old girl driving the other vehicle was  under the influence of alcohol at the time. They soon arrested her on suspicion of misdemeanor DUI.

Officers forced a portion of Railroad Avenue near Dayton to shut down following the wreck. Authorities are still investigating the Santa Clarita DUI crash.
