Motorcyclist Injured in Santa Clarita Hit-and-Run on San Francisquito Canyon Road
SANTA CLARITA, CA (January 12, 2022) – A motorcyclist was injured after a hit-and-run crash on San Francisquito Canyon Road in Santa Clarita.
The California Highway Patrol dispatch team said the wreck took place on Wednesday evening. Officers reported the accident at about 7:24 p.m.
The incident began when a pickup truck was driving recklessly along San Francisquito Canyon Road in Santa Clarita. After some time, the car struck the rider of a 2019 green Harley-Davidson Street Glide.
Reckless Driver Hits Rider, Flees Scene
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene, just south of Stator Lane. They found the motorcyclist hurt as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then provided aid to the victim for the unspecified injuries they sustained in the wreck. The report did not disclose the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that the reckless driver did not stop to help the rider and fled southbound on San Francisquito Canyon. They described the vehicle as a 2003 Chevrolet Silverado.
Officers forced a stretch of the road to shut down following the incident. The Santa Clarita hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
