Cyclist Hospitalized After Collision at Soquel San Jose and Soquel Creek Road Friday
Santa Cruz, CA (September 7, 2021) – A traffic accident involving a bicycle rider occurred in the area of Soquel San Jose and Soquel Creek Road on September 3, Friday.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch, a collision between a bicyclist and a passenger vehicle took place at the Santa Cruz intersection. The description of the car involved in the crash have not been revealed thus far.
CHP logged the incident shortly before 12:40 p.m.

When emergency crews arrived, they found multiple motorists who stopped at the scene and rendered aid to the victim. Paramedics checked the condition of the cyclist, and confirmed they sustained minor injuries as a result of the crash. An ambulance later arrived, and transferred the patient to a hospital for further treatment and evaluation.
The driver involved in the collision appeared unharmed after the incident.
Investigators continue to work to determine exactly how and why the bicycle accident in Santa Cruz happened.
