1 Injured in Santa Cruz County Crash on Highway 152 Near Fallowfield Lane
SANTA CRUZ COUNTY, CA (July 9, 2021) – One was hospitalized after a car crash on Highway 152, known as Hecker Pass Road, in Santa Cruz County.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the accident occurred on Friday afternoon. Officers reported the wreck at about 4:55 p.m.
The incident log said four vehicles collided for an unknown reason in Santa Cruz County near Watsonville and Interlaken. They crashed on eastbound Highway 152, just east of Fallowfield Lane.
CHP described the cars involved as a white Toyota Tacoma, a silver Honda Fit, a gray a Dodge Dart and a gray Toyora Tundra. Both the Tacoma and the Honda obtained major front-end damage.
Multiple Cars Collide on Hecker Pass Road
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near the Pajaro Valley Memorial Park. They found one person who sustained minor injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then took the patient to a hospital for treatment. Their injuries included laceration to their left wrist, bruising to chest from wearing a seat belt and a hip injury.
Officials did not release the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time. Meanwhile, CHP forced the eastbound lanes of Highway 152 to shut down following the wreck.
Authorities are still determining the cause of the Santa Cruz County crash.
