Motorcyclist Badly Injured in Crash at Clubhouse and Rio Del Mar
SANTA CRUZ COUNTY, CA (September 2, 2022) – A crash badly injured a motorcyclist at Clubhouse Drive and Rio Del Mar Boulevard.
The California Highway Patrol first logged the accident on Tuesday afternoon in the Rio Del Mar village of Santa Cruz County. Officers reported the wreck on August 30 at about 1:16 p.m.
CHP said the motorcycle rider and another vehicle collided for an unknown reason. The two crashed at the intersection of Clubhouse Drive and Rio Del Mar Boulevard.
Motorcycle and Car Collide
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near Highway 1. They found the motorcycle rider down on the ground as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then rushed the patient to the Dominican Hospital for treatment of moderate injuries. The name of the wounded party and their condition at this time were not disclosed.
Meanwhile, the report did not mention if the other driver ended up hurt or if they stopped following the incident. Officers forced the area of Clubhouse and Rio Del Mar to shut down after the wreck.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
