1 Killed in Santa Cruz County Crash at Highway 1 and Waddell Creek
SANTA CRUZ COUNTY, CA (April 17, 2021) – A motorcycle crash killed one person at Highway 1 and Waddell Creek in Santa Cruz County.
According to the KSBW News and KION News, the tragic accident occurred late Saturday afternoon. Officers reported the wreck at around 5:30 p.m.
The California Highway Patrol said a motorcycle and a vehicle collided for an unknown reason. The crash took place on northbound Highway 1 at Waddell Creek.

Firefighters along with the paramedics soon responded to the scene. They then confirmed that one individual died as a result of the collision.
The name of the deceased party has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin. CHP did not mention if the victim was the motorcyclist or an occupant of the other vehicle involved.
Meanwhile, officials shut down Highway 1 in both directions following the crash. The cause of the fatal wreck is still under investigation.
