At Least 1 Hurt in Car Accident on Santa Cruz Highway Saturday
Santa Cruz, CA (August 3, 2021) – On July 31, Saturday, a suspected hit-and-run car crash occurred on State Route 17 near the Ocean Street offramp.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch, two vehicles collided in the southbound side of SR-17, also known as Santa Cruz Highway. The make and model of the automobiles involved in the wreck have not been revealed thus far.
Medical personnel arrived at the accident scene shortly after 11:57 a.m. First responders reportedly found a male party lying near the center divider of the freeway. Paramedics immediately attended to the victim, and later confirmed the man sustained injuries as a result of the wreck. At this time, additional information on the injured party remained undisclosed.

Meanwhile, the CHP log confirmed a motorist involved in the wreck fled the scene before police arrived. Investigators continue to work at this time to identity and locate the suspect in the hit-and-run crash at Santa Cruz.
