Rider Hospitalized After Collision at SR-1 and SR-17
Santa Cruz, CA (September 11, 2022) – At least one person suffered injuries following a traffic crash that occurred in the area of State Route Highway 1 and 17.
Auto vs. Motorcycle Crash in Santa Cruz
According to the California Highway Patrol group, a man riding a motorcycle collided with another vehicle at the crossing of highways in Santa Cruz. The CHP logged the incident on September 6 around 5:34 p.m.
Emergency crews later arrived at the site and found the motorcyclist lying on the ground. Responding paramedics checked the condition of the victim; then later confirmed the rider sustained injuries as a result of the wreck. An ambulance transported the patient to the hospital for treatment of minor injuries. Personal information on the patient remained undisclosed pending confirmation.
Detectives stayed at the scene the whole afternoon. At this time, they continue to investigate exactly how and why the crash happened at Highway 1 and Highway 17 in Santa Cruz.
